Identity Development and Self-Exploration

As a culturally responsive therapist, I am deeply committed to addressing the unique mental health needs of Black individuals and others affected by racial and ethnic trauma.

My work is aimed at helping clients process the profound mental and emotional toll racial discrimination, microagressions, historical trauma, systemic oppression, and the complexities of navigating one’s identity in a society that often marginalizes people of color can have on one’s life. My approach acknowledges these unique challenges and offers a space where clients can feel understood, supported, and safe.

I use a combination of trauma-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address the internalized effects of racism and provide strategies for coping with these external realities. By fostering resilience and helping clients build a stronger sense of identity and self-worth, my work in this area empowers individuals to move beyond survival toward thriving, even in the face of ongoing systemic adversity.
